More Waiting

Waiting to close!

It is suppose to happen today? We are crossing our

fingers. I've just about packed everything 

but the kitchen and pantry.

I also have a spot under my dresser that I need to get.

I took a day off yesterday. Man am I sore all over!

I think I'm to old to do this again.

Being the Aries that I am, I want things to happen

right now!!

Still Waiting!!

Well here it is Monday and they say it will be another 5 days.

What the fuck!! 

So I decided to sit down here again at the computer and write,

after all this is the reason I set up this blog.

I'm out of boxes and room for more. So I don't know what more 

to do to pack up. I have been washing walls and such.

One thing for sure is there is always dishes to do!!

It is a dark, gloomy and rainy outside, so what the heck!

I also have a few packing photos to share.

Here I took 3 drawers down to one small box.

I Need To Rant!!

I think this has been one of the longest weekends of my life!!

We found out today why the house didn't close.

Our realtor went on vacation and some dumb ass, put a for sale

sign on it Thursday Or Friday. He said 

"I thought it was the land that was sold not the house."

Them greedy bastards have been holding this up all along.

We hope that mess is cleared up, and the close will go smooth

tomorrow so we can start moving things in.

The house is not listed anymore and if you put in the

address it says it is sold.

I'm taking this day off. We always try to rest

and count our blessing on Sundays.

So today I am spending it resting and talking

with God. I know this is what he sent

and man is monkeying with the plan...lol!

I'm going to kick back in the lazy boy and watch

TV. Maybe even take a nap. This hurry up and wait is

making me crazy! Sleep helps!!

This is too the Realtor that put a for sale sign on the house. 

Not Closed Yet!

The house has not closed yet. We are making little

trails around all the boxes all over this house.

We are running out of boxes. I can't believe how hard it

is to find boxes these days! It is giving us fits...lol!

So we are trying to be patient about this, but it

is so hard. Our bird has been screaming almost non-stop

since we started packing. So today we are playing him a

lot of music to keep him quiet and help us work.

I haven't done anything today. I need to get to it. cause tomorrow

is a resting day for us.

Today's Happenings

This is making me crazy! We have to wait some more.

I guess you can tell that I have never bought a home before.

We are faced with 3 problems today

1. Not allowed to enter the property yet.

2. End of the month budget is 0.

3. No boxes

We close on Friday

All my ranting and raving yesterday was for naught!

The house closes on Friday and we can move.

I'm so excited about this.

We need to have our internet hooked up and the power.

Turn on the well pump and get the water running to the house.

I know we can't do anything till Friday with the house

So it is time to get this one in order.

The bids are in!~More waiting~

God Willing It shall be ours We got the news today on the house and bid.

3 of us bid, all the same amount; the asking price.

Now we all have to rebid and hope we bid

high enough.

This shit is scary, stressful and crazy

Our bid was first and full asking price. So

what is the fucking problem?

Why and how did buying a home become a bidding game??

The only thing that helped us to feel better 

about it, is the fact that the bidding is closed now.

This has been in Gods hands the whole time.

I'm not the most patient person in the world for sure.

We should know if we got it in a few days.

We are praying, claiming it as ours, crossing fingers

and toes, to make it happen!

We shall keep you posted.

Waiting Is The Hardest Part

Now for one of the few hard parts.

Waiting to see if our offer is taken.

It is stressful.

I can't sleep very well, an I'm trying to pack but

not...if you know what I mean?

In the mean time I am looking at all the things that I 

will NOT miss in the little house in the city.

How is it going to be to get south sunshine when

we haven't had it for 12 years.

No more touching toes in the living room when we

have company. We will be able to seat more than 4 people

and have room for more chairs if we do have people

over. I could host a tupperware party...lol!!

No more dancing around each other cause that is the only

way we can move in the little house we call Tiny Dancer.

I'm afraid that I am going to miss the city.

No more late night runs for fast food or sweets.

I think our internet shopping to wal-mart will increase!

Even though it is as rural as they come we

will be living between 2 small cities and be only

20 miles or so from a bigger city.

When our offer is taken then I will get some more pictures

up of the house before we start moving in. 

Then I will have them ready for any before picture when we

do work on the house or yard landscaping.

How it started

Hello family and friends

This whole moving thing was what I would call God sent.

We are city people, both of us know very little about country life.

We have a brother in law who has family into real-estate investing.

Normally they flip homes.

Well they ran across this house on a 10 acre
farm that had been repoed.

They were just interested in the land.
So that left them with what to do with the house?
 That is where we got involved. We have dreamed of being in

a bigger home for years.
But the rent is good here and we can have all our animals.

So brother bid for the job to clean it and get it ready for listing.

He got the job and we began working for him.
 All of us had the feeling this

was the place we all wanted.

We decided that this would make a great blog
for everyone to see how much

time it takes to go from cleaning, to listing,
to bid, to move and then what

we are doing to improve this home.
This is not going to be a fast job.

The land is very run down. And the house needs some outside work.

We will try to get as much before and after pictures as possible.
